My name is Sonia Brown. I’m a wife of 36 years to my husband Maurice (Rob), a mother of three wonderful sons — Maurice Jr., and twins Matthew and Michael — a grandmother of two, and a guardian to my cousin. Family and community are at the heart of everything I do.

Why I Am Running

I have always been a community builder, a strong advocate for the voiceless, and someone who shows up for people when it matters most. I’m running because I believe Ward 5 deserves strong, accountable leadership that listens, acts, and delivers results.

I am committed to bringing real change to our city — by making government more accessible, responsive, and truly reflective of the people it serves.
